A special thanks to Mike Wells for the information he shared with us about the trip to Mexico. For those wanting to go to assist the Mexican people and help this summer, there are a few things that need to be done ASAP!
* A non-refundable check of $50 needs to be handed in by March 1st. This check should be made out to Utah Rotary District 5420. Please also put June Mexico Trip on the check. This money is for trip insurance and the District needs to pay for each participant.
* Anyone who wants to go to Mexico and didn't attend the meeting needs to contact Mrs. Thompson, Annette Barber, or Tere Moore ASAP! There will not be any travel arrangements made until the deposits are in.
* If you don't have a passport you need to go to the Court House and apply for one. This does take time so don't delay!!!
* Please remember to start saving some extra spending money!
Those going to Mexico will stay in 2 or 3 bedroom condos on the beach. There will be adults in every condo. Each group (club) will be responsible for their own breakfasts and lunches. There will be group dinners at night with one dinner at a local restaurant one evening.
Mike has arranged a statewide fundraiser for all Interact clubs. Hopefully there will also be some local fundraisers for students who need extra help.
Members can check the utahinteract.com website to see a video of last years project and updated information about this year's trip will be coming out soon.
We know the people who live in the area where the work will be done are very appreciative of our efforts!!!
If you have further questions please contact an adult leader.

Relay for LIFE!
The members of Interact volunteered to set up and help kick off RELAY FOR LIFE! Some members acted as models and all who attended enjoyed themselves. Let's do our part to fight against cancer!
Pinkies for POLIO!
The Interact Club participated in Pinkies for Polio. The students and staff at Box Elder were asked to help those who have not been vaccinated against polio. A donation of a dollar bought 2 vaccinations. Thanks everyone for your support in this effort. Many people, especially children were helped because of you!
Phantom of the Opera
Box Elder High School had the opportunity to put on the production, "Phantom of the Opera." On Thursday night the Senior Citizens of our community enjoyed dinner along with the play at no cost. This event was so popular all the tickets for this night were gone within days of the announcement. The Interact Club along with other clubs from the high school were asked to participate and serve dinner. Those who attended had a wonderful time! Thanks Box Elder for such an amazing production!
